First of Its Kind
Combining upscale amenities and sustainable design with a premiere Tysons address, this luxury development provides its residents with a one-of-a-kind place to call home.
Featuring 300 residential units across 19 floors, Ovation at Park Crest is Tysons, Virginia’s first luxury high-rise apartment complex. Ovation is centrally located just steps from the upscale stores and restaurants at Tysons Corner Center and within walking distance of the Greensboro Metro Station, connecting it to downtown DC. Despite its urban surrounding, Ovation optimizes space to provide residents with an array of amenities that focus on an improved quality of life. A unique half-acre public park connects the residents at Ovation with the surrounding Tysons community through a curved pathway.
Achieving LEED Gold certification, Ovation implemented a landscape designed to be low impact, reducing irrigation needs by 85-percent while improving stormwater quality and reducing runoff. An environmentally sensitive landscape and hardscape management plan reduces harmful chemical use, energy and water waste, air pollution, and chemical runoff compared with standard practices, resulting in an environmentally conscious community.
The open space at Ovation provides an escape from city life, including a courtyard water feature, bocce court, lap pool and spacious sundeck, fireplace lounge, grilling area, and an events terrace with a formal ellipse-shaped lawn. The most unique amenity, however, is the half-acre park, which provides a tranquil pedestrian connection to the surrounding Tysons community. Traversing 40-feet of grade change, the pathway weaves through lush plantings and a flowing water feature, gracefully carving a path through the landscape. Residents and visitors are treated to a meditative journey along the curved pathway, where they experience a variety of terraced seating options and are accompanied by the fountain’s flowing water, which follows them throughout the park.
With 40-feet of grade change between the adjacent residential property and the Ovation development, the property risked feeling literally walled off from its surroundings, including the Metro Station and Tysons Corner Center. To better connect residents to these amenities, LandDesign created a unique curved pathway that creatively accommodates the grade change while providing a unique experience for pedestrians.
