As LandDesign continues to grow our design presence and abilities, we are actively seeking great designers and thought leaders who appreciate our Clients, who can think quickly and creatively, and who value unique perspectives and conversations. Being in a high growth market, our Dallas office is currently seeking an experienced Landscape Architect who is looking for an opportunity to grow professionally and in a meaningful way. Applicants for this role should have expertise in visual storytelling and in quickly capturing ideas through the artistry of hand renderings and graphics.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Develop visually appealing, thoughtful illustrations and presentations that showcase LandDesign’s unique storytelling, integrated design services, and design capabilities.
  • Contribute to every phase of the design process, ensuring high quality design standards are met consistently.
  • Quickly and competently translate design ideas into expressive, compelling hand sketches and renderings for a variety of project types and Clients.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate graphically and verbally with current office leadership, colleagues from other disciplines, Clients, and jurisdictional reviewers.
  • Mentor designers in preparation of renderings and graphics. 
  • Responsibilities include an awareness of deadlines, schedules, and budgets for all phases of a project.
  • Participate in meetings with Client’s, prepare presentation graphics, participate in interviews, and design charrettes for new opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field of study
  • Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) or equivalent experience is appreciated but not required.
  • Strong design and critical thinking skills. Charrette quality hand sketching ability is essential.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, competency in AutoCAD.
  • 3D modeling skills using Sketchup or similar programs are appreciated but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, Client, and designers while quickly adjusting to dynamic project priorities.
  • Through references, demonstrate excellent relationship building skills, both with colleagues and Clients.
  • 5+ years of professional, related work experience.
