Pioneering Mixed-Use Design for Community Growth
This dynamic, community-centric space blends innovative landscape architecture with sustainable design to create an ideal hub for connection, public recreation, and environmental stewardship.
Miramar Cove is a transformative 130-acre mixed-use community in South Florida that strategically marries urban living with the natural beauty of Florida. This development balances ecology, preservation, and open space with modern lifestyle amenities, offering over 2,600 residences, vibrant retail spaces, hospitality, and office uses. Inspired by the rich lifestyles and nature of the Caribbean Islands, Miramar Cove fosters an active, open-air community across 80 acres of accessible water features, parks, and trails. This innovative community aspires to redefine sustainable development in Florida by blending urban vibrancy with nature, creating a model for resilient, connected, and park-like inspired design.
Situated in the thriving City of Miramar, this previously underdeveloped portion of town is expected to boast over 2,825 residential units, including multi-family and townhomes. Complementing residential uses are a plethora of retail, dining, and entertainment spaces, a boutique hotel with luxury rooftop amenities, and ample space for offices. Extensive public and private green spaces will be thoughtfully integrated across the site, to include multiple parks, trails, and open water access, ensuring an immersive outdoor experience for residents and visitors. Miramar Cove aims to masterfully intertwine modern, urban planning with the ecological beauty of inland Florida, exemplifying how thoughtful design can elevate industry standards by creating connected and sustainable communities—all while respecting the natural environment.
Miramar Cove will be a model of sustainable design, thoughtfully weaving environmental stewardship into a cohesive master plan that unites residential, commercial, and public spaces. The community plans feature native planting zones, wetland preservation, and an extensive urban tree canopy, which enhance biodiversity, manage stormwater, and create microclimates that mitigate urban heat in a dense development. Innovative planting strategies, including understory vegetation thriving under South Florida’s tree canopy, foster a symbiotic relationship between human activity and natural systems. Additionally, a comprehensive pedestrian and bicycle network, including a two-mile multi-use trail, will reduce reliance on cars and promote healthier lifestyles. By aligning with the city’s long-term goals of ecological growth and incorporating forward-thinking strategies, Miramar Cove challenges traditional notions of sustainability while raising the bar on environmentally conscious development.
