LandDesign Grows Senior Leadership With New Promotions

LandDesign has an ambitious vision to be the best in design, culture, and business—a vision that can only be realized through the passion and dedication of our people. Over the last seven years, the firm has doubled in size which has resulted in the expansion of our leadership infrastructure. Our Senior Leadership plays a significant role in supporting LandDesign at the firm and office levels, advancing our strategic plan, and managing growth.

We are proud to recognize these individuals from across the firm on their Senior Leadership promotions. Their promotions are a testament to their commitment to our strategic vision and preparing LandDesign for the next generation. Join us in congratulating the newest members of our Senior Leadership team!

Growing the Firm

Congratulations to Heth Kendrick, PLA on his promotion to Partner at LandDesign! Joining the firm in 2001, Heth has embodied every quality of a LandDesigner throughout his career. Inspired by his entrepreneurial spirit, the firm recognized Heth as the right leader to grow our Dallas office and build a local landscape architecture practice. Heth’s dedication to advancing our practice and client experience has positioned LandDesign as the go-to firm to support developers and architects navigating the region’s unprecedented growth. Heth’s passion for our culture has inspired an office full of creative energy that continues to attract top talent. As a Partner, Heth will become the newest member of our firmwide board of directors.

Congratulations to Dan Melvin, PE on his promotion to Principal! Dan is an excellent example of why we value mentorship in the work. Joining the firm in 2015, Dan quickly advanced from a designer to managing a studio of civil engineers focused on public and private development and infrastructure improvement projects. Dan is a valuable resource to his clients, bridging the gap between their development goals and infrastructure challenges through innovative and feasible solutions. As a Principal, Dan will be part of a group dedicated to advancing our practice and mentoring the next generation of leaders.

Growing the Offices

Congratulations to Andrew Garrels (Orlando), Andrew Schmidt (Charlotte), Dennis Walls (Charlotte), Khristine Giangrandi (Washington DC), and Mike Tucker (Washington DC)  on their promotion to Director! At LandDesign, we believe success starts at the office level and for that reason the role of Director is critical to the implementation of our strategic investments and management of local growth. These individuals will join a growing group of firm leaders who are responsible for managing the operational needs within their respective office and scaling our practice at the local-level.
